38DD wiring

Sat May 24, 2008 10:13 pm

For those of you who have built the 38DD chiller, how did you wire up the 12vac-dc adapter to the digital thermostat. I have a 12vdc fan and a rite temp thermostat. Does anyone have basic electircal advice?

Thanks

And here I was thinking this thread was going to be about b00bs!

I could help you if I knew what a 38DD chiller was. Post a link to a description and/or picture.

Yeah, I guess I'm just wondering if you have had any problems wiring your fan into the digital thermostat? Are you using a 12vdc fan with a 12 vdc wall adapter? I'm probably making to big a deal out of this, I just don't want to burn my house down. Thanks for the help.

I just used a standard ole cell phone charger.

I have this weird disease that my mother gave. Im makes me keep a bunch of crap that I dont need. I think its packratitis. So i have a bunch of old cell phone / lamp / batter charges and other adapters laying around. they are all 12v but have different mA #'s.. I just tried them all on a standard computer fan till I found the speed that I thought was good.

Thanks for the help. I cut all of the foam pieces today and I'm hoping to start assembly tomorrow. I've been brewing for quite awhile and I'm looking forward to finally getting some temp. control.

Cheers
