Crooked River Irish Red Ale

Sun Jun 26, 2005 1:53 pm

12 oz. brown bottle. This beer is a case of looks can be deceiving. It certainly smelled better than it tasted. Poured out a nice, bright copper color, with red highlights. Aromas off the bat are of malts. Caramel malts, and some background roastiness to it. Had a decent, but short lived head on it. Tasted average, at best. Cereal tasting to me, with a certain gritiness to it as well. A little rough around the edges, at least in my book. A pretty fair Irish red however.
