+1 I also made it up to Bear Republic when out there; a bit further up 101 than RR, but good food and a good list of beers.
In the city are 21A (21st Amendment) and Anchor; I didn't make it to either one but I hear good things. 21A has a brew pub and Anchor (I'm told) is just tours, which you have to schedule in advance, decide for yourself if touring a brewery is worth the time.
Lastly, if you really want to go deaf, or the weather is nice enough to be outside, check out Southern Pacific, good nano brewery with a good number of beers, split between their own and guest taps.
