Are you guys allowed to mail out your scoresheets or are you under an AHA gag order until all results are in?

I entered in the NY region, which also judged this past week, and was wondering if the scoresheets would be sent out soon. Not a big deal if they're not, since I only had a couple entries that would benefit from a rebrew. One was a mild and could be done in about 10 days anyways.

Looking forward to NHC & BN8!!!!

I see the Seattle results are posted on line already, so I imagine the other regions will be able to follow suit.

I did mean fail on the part of that homebrew club....they should have known better than to release those results....there is a reason they hold them back...

This argument has been going on for years!! Some say if the rounds that are judged earlier get the results before others, they have a better chance to re-brew than someone who isn't judged until later in April. However they decide to do it, it should be consistent. If they are sending scoresheets out anyways, those people who have a so called advantage over the ones that haven't even judged yet. Most of my entries wouldn't be suitable for a rebrew this year anyways.

Last year, my scoresheets didn't mark place won and one of my entries won a silver. I didn't find out until Janis released the results and I almost drank the rest of the beer (Munich Helles so no chance of re-brew at that point). This year I have 3 bottles of each entry in my fridge and they don't get touched until after the results are posted by the AHA.

I see the idea of a rebrew. Makes sense but on the other hand revrewing is not the same as the beer entered in.

It can be if you have your process dialed in and certain beers need to be rebrewed I know if my pale ale makes it I will need to rebrewed it.

Especially if you have judges comments and adjust accordingly. Technically, you could submit a totally different recipe if you wanted to.

I say just release 'em. No real advantage in time.
Most of the serious competition brewers are re-brewing or have re-brewed already. Don't need results for that, really. You know if you hit a home run or not.

Kudos to the Seattle team, they turned those results around in less than 72 hours. That's they way it should be. I have my scoresheets back already.
