Dry Irish Stout
Pale Mild
Special Belgian - Trappist Quad

Pretty sure I put the Belgian in the wrong category. It was fermented with 2 strains of yeast. Abbey and Saison. The description I entered was just a place holder since registering was a pain. I could not change it when I printed the labels.

These are the 1st beers I've ever entered so I'm not expecting too much. I just wanted to enter since I'll be at the conference and those are the beers I had on hand.

We judged Region 1 Friday night and Saturday. We had a good turnout of judges and we were 100% finished up by about 5:30 yesterday. Great time and some GREAT beers!

Hats off to you and your compiled crew out there Bdawg! Seems like you guys are always consistent in getting the job done in a timely fashion. Wish I lived closer to enter some of my beers in your region!

edit - BTW, I got 7 entries going in, of which I only feel really good about 3 of them...Oh well... :)

I'm driving over to Atlanta to judge this weekend. I glanced at the website today, and they have 10(!) sessions listed (though presumably most of the entries will be judged this coming weekend). I never heard a word from the organizer about the extra sessions, I guess they are desperate for help.

Wow,
We only needed 3 sessions.

16 flights on Friday Night,
33 flights Sat Morning
31 flights Sat Afternoon

Mini-BOS's were sprinkled in as we could get experienced judges freed up to do them.
It was NICE having the 2nd bottle in that regard, though we had twice as many bottles to deal with.
No mini-BOS's on Fri - we only did them on Sat.

We had good turnout from the judges and stewards. Overall, I'm happy with the outcome. We arranged it so that flight sizes were 12 beers on Fri, 10 on Sat AM, and 8 on Sat PM. That also helped avoid palate fatigue.
