Kit Shelf Life

Wed Mar 13, 2013 5:42 pm

I am extremely new to brewing - my first attempt is in day 6 of fermenting. As such, I am still only attempting kits for now. I've noticed a lot of online suppliers have kits "on sale" this week, for St. Patty's day. My question - how long is the shelf life of kits? If I were to buy, say, 3 or 4 different kits, would they last the 2-3 months it'll take me to cycle through? (I've still only got the one fermenter, etc, so only one brew at a time)

Thanks!

Yes, especially if you pull hops and yeast out to store cold.

Yeah, what he said. Especially if you get dry yeast. If you get liquid, you'll definitely want to do a starter; maybe even stepping up the starter if it sits for a few months.
