Finally hit 1000!

Only took a little over 6 yrs...let's hope for another 1000. I got smashed pretty good in a car wreck last week so I'm grateful to be up and around at all. I've learned a ton of stuff on this forum and some of it was even beer related. I'm thankful for the cool community here and even for the d-bags because after they get their beatdown, it let's me know there are people that think just like me. I'm a big believer in the 1st rule of the Brewer's Code and I try to abide by it at all times, I did say try. Sometimes the fuckin loser had it coming...

I hope to finally meet a bunch of you in person in Philly next year. My club will have a booth and you can bet there will be some of my version of JBA (i use Simcoe and Amarillo in it) and maybe some of Numsquat's Hard Lemonade just to fuck with people. It's a little warm for Bug's Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Beer but the Shakespeare Stout recipe from CYBI might be there as well. I'm currently working on getting my beers into JP territory abv wise. This getting old shit sucks but i really like drinking beer and having to get up at 0445 after 5 or 7 7%'ers is just not worth it. So i have my apa down to 4.2% and it's just the way i like it. I've been bringing almost everything i brew down a little as well. If my current experiment goes well, I will post it. Lagers take some time.

In short, these 6 yrs have been incredibly educational. I may even enter a contest one day.
Later,
Drew

Congrats on the 1000. I've learned so much from this forum, too. Might I ask what JBA is, some sort of Black Ale? Hope to see you in Philly next summer. What club are you in? Mine is on the fence about participating at Club Night.

born and raised in Leechburg, PA about 30 miles NE of The Burgh. Growing up in the 70's, my Dad worked at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Co for 42 yrs...Have always and will always be a Steeler fan.
Looking forward to Philly. Bout time it gets back east of the Mississippi.

Wootown Brewers is my club.

I'm not so much a lurker as a "if you don't have anything to say, keep your mouth shut" type of person.
