If my memory serves me right, I believe the first appearance of Meister of Puppets was when he called in to ask advice on what type of beer to brew to get his friends to stop drinking BMC crap ... I believe a wheat beer was the answer. Oddly I remember where I was driving at the time that transaction occured, but unfortunately I don't remember what show that was, but it occured near the end during the DOTW segment.

Another option might be to donate to an existing scholarship fund, my personal preference being a brewer's education scholarship, in Matt's name.
No offense meant to the family's gathering of funds for a fraternity scholarship fund yet-to-be-determined, but there are options, since the family's personal expenses have been addressed.

Fuck, I was in a decent mood prior to reading this. I too do not understand how bad things could be to take someone so far and it pisses me off. I never knew the guy, but have heard him calling into the show. From what I read here and on his FB page, he seemed to be a joy to be around. Which makes it all even more confusing.
