Leaking keg/tap

I have a keg of rootbeer that apparently drips out a few drops every hour out the tap. It did this with the picnic tap and so I switched it over to a regular faucet and I still have the same issue. I've lowered the pressure, but nothing has helped, short of removing the valve from the keg post. Does this mean I have a faulty keg post in that keg? Or is this just a root beer thing? I've never had this issue before.

Its the faucet, I would think.
If it were the post, it would probably be leaking in your fridge.
Either that or the faucet is pissed that it doesnt run any alcohol through it.

Taps have seals. Thays what you are opening when you use it.
maybe you have bad luck in taps. Its unlikely that you have 2 faulty taps, but it isnt impossible.

My bet is on the taps as well. It's not that uncommon to have leaky picnic taps. I would find it more out of the ordinary if you were testing 2 faucets & they both leaked. The first thing to do is check all your seals. If they're not getting cleaned regularly (& well) or if they're brand new, it could likely be the culprit.

Tear them both apart and give everything a real hot PBW soak, rinse with same temp water & sanitize. I also touch all the 'rubber' parts (anything that's not rigid) with keg lube. Take extra care when reassembling to make sure everything seats as intended.

Disconnect the liquid lines. No more leaks = it's the faucets
