Woah!

I haven't been on the forum for a while, and totally missed this:

1. Serious congratulations. Your life will never be the same.

2. Don't let your wife do everything! Babies love touch. Change diapers, give baths, dress her, tuck her in her car seat, brush her teeth (when they come in). Later on you can tell her stories and sing to her (it doesn't matter if you can't sing). That gives the wife some slack, and you learn a lot about love and living (but it looks like you're doing that already).

My baby girl is 19. (Sniff!)

Good advice!

My little Abigail is 2 and half (she was screaming on the background of the last Lunchmeet 'lympics). She loves when I get home from work and we play. Spend the time up front. I know it's hard, but quantity time can allow for quality time.

Heck yeah!

Every day when I picked her up from daycare I'd carry her around with me and do whatever one hand could do. At that age they don't weigh anything, and there is a baby trick I discovered where you carry them face down, sprawled over one arm, with their head resting in the crook of your elbow. That supports their head, and they're in the middle of everything!. She was a wonderful baby, and has since turned into a beautiful young woman.

I was in hawg heaven those days. It was later on that everything went to shit.

Thanks guys

Update:
24 days old and it looks like we may be getting her stomach problems under control.
The breast feeding lasted about 2 weeks, either she wasn't getting enough, or my wife's diet was screwing up the kids stomach. (my wife really restricted her diet too)
We moved on to formula which made her way too gassy, 2hr screaming fits every night, sometimes 2x.
Soy formula 3 days later which she had twice, and threw up twice (don't blame her)
Then finally some formula that works.

I had to go back to Tx. for work last week, but it was only for 2 nights due to Christmas, this week I'm here for 3 nights.
Great news is that I'm gonna be back working within 100 miles of my home, if not from my home very soon.

@Charlie I'm doing a fuckload to help, for the first 2 weeks I probably changed 3 diapers to my wife's 1. I've also been staying up until 4am playing xbox (and sipping homebrew), feeding and changing her, then my wife gets the next shift.

I love my little girl!

and btw, since my wife isn't breastfeeding anymore she can drink, which makes us both happier b/c damn, that woman has some crazy hormone shit going on right now :eek
