Anchor Brewing Tour

We were in San Fran the last 4 days and attended the Anchor Brewing tour. I cant say enough about this tour. The facility is awesome, the people are incredible. The tour is free and included 6 beer tastings at the end. There was a lot of useful info, but having just listened to the interview on the Brewing Network, I wanted to ask more technical questions and all of the brewers were busy...brewing. The beer is excellent on tap...I had never tasted to Barley Wine before or the Porter, and they were fabulous. Cant say enough about the experience, if you get a chance to get up there, you have to go!

Went to it a couple of years ago...Agreed, one of the best brewery tours ever between the history, brewery, and beer. The hop and fermentation rooms are cool as shit. I wanted to sneak into each room and steal some hops and yeast. Awesome!

Yeah, it's a great tour. They're very generous with time and beer. I also wish I could have asked a few more technical questions of our guide, but he was busy with the group. So I satisfied myself with "oooooh pretty".
