Everyone have fun and be careful! I won't drag my feet next year when it comes time to take off for this!

Oh if anyone runs into a judge named Bob Carbone, that my LHBS owner. Good People! I'd take a punch in the ear for a pint of his Helles :)

I might have to judge this mofo next year. Why the last weekend before NHC entries are due though?

This is the first time that I've been able to drop off entries in Dallas, so the timing is a godsend for me and my club.

I wish I could be there. I am 20 miles IF THAT from the shenanigans and debauchery that will happen. However family, poor planning, and work are keeping me from having too much fun. Next year, Eff a bunch of that!

Always needing more judges, man, so that'd be awesome. It's been this weekend-ish, if I understand correctly, since the beginning of Bluebonnet in '86. (25th anniversary this year!) For me, personally, it makes things with prepping brews for NHC easy, since it means brewing around one general ready-to-submit timeframe to get both comps covered more than an inconvenience. ymmv.

Yeah makes sense for the locals. For me it would mean losing this weekend as I would be getting on a plane this morning (live in KC). Not the end of the world though if I plan for it all along. It would be a good one to enter for stuff like IPA where you try to time it for a particular 2-3 week window and you are brewing it for NHC anyway.

With me you get two judges, my wife is Certified (I'm National, should be Master by this time next year, just need some points).

Just got my score sheets back! This was my first comp so I'm pretty excited about my scores... My Mild got an average of 34 and my American IPA scored 32!

With only one wise ass remark from a judge! Haha

Well while you guys were whooping it up in Dallas, Mrs Bigwave and I were in the delivery room, which I can assure you is a different experience than Bluebonnet! However I felt like I was there as a couple of good buddies felt oblidged to speaker phone me in on the award ceremony Sat.

Gold - English IPA
Silver - German Pils
Silver - Am. Barlewine
Silver - Am IPA
Bronze - Imp IPA

And 3rd Place BOS for Eng IPA!

And most importantly a brand spanking new baby girl named Lilly Dale who is absolutley perfect in every way of course! She even holds her bottle just like her daddy! :D

sorry, had to brag a bit!
Hopefully we will get to see you guys next year. I hope everyone had a great time.
