My new build. Another Brutus Clone.

Tue Mar 22, 2011 10:11 am

I felt it was time to make a change and decided to build rather than buy. Here is where I am at so far...

Metal Cut to length.

The First Rail.

The Second Rail.

My welds, not totally bad for first timer.

Cross members installed.

Gas tube holes cut.

Saddles with couplings welded in.

Test fitting the pots.

Threaded feet.

New shoes.

More to follow as I get this finished up...

Cheers.

Looks good. I'd put some casters on that bad boy.

I spent around $480 on stainless so far. It took a little time to get used to working with it. But I am happy with the results so far.

As for casters I am happy with leaving it setup in my brew room without having to move it. If I ever use it out side or when I move to the next house I will go the caster route.

Pretty sweet Hammer. I'm finishing up my own. Not a Brutus, just old bed frames. And I see that you are a fellow NYer - from where do you shout?
