I have been the last two years, our club was set up last year. I will not be able to go this year unless a pile of cash drops into my lap. Won a 3rd for my mead last year too.

The whole thing is a blast, I stayed away from the pub crawl. Just do my own or recoup from the night before.
Shut up, Mr. Burton! You are not brought upon this world to get it!

From the commercial beer tasting to the club night. There is little if anything that compares to how much fun Bluebonnet is.

I attended last year and it was a blast. It was my first comp as well. There is a category 42 for "New Entrants". Entry into this category is reserved for those who are entering the Bluebonnet for the first time. It is a wild card category and might be a good fit for your CDA.

Hope to see you out there.

We are only 24 days away from Bluebonnet! I am kegging a beer today that our club will be serving for club night. Who all is going and when are you planning to get there? I am taking off work early to hit the hospitality suite around 2.

JBug - If you can swing the Fri night event, I don't think you will regret it. The commercial tasting is great however the homebrew tasting afterwords always has some of the best beers period. Lots of great homebrewers as well. Saturday is great too, I usually don't do the bus crawl but everyone seems to enjoy it that goes. The awards ceremony is fun too if you have some beers entered, but I am afraid you gonna want to kick yourself for missing the Fri Night festivities. We are trying to make it happen and have reservations but the wife is 8+ months preg and I may miss my first BBO in 14yrs. Maybe I can convince her that there is an award for that!!! Category 33 - Most Knocked UP! :aaron

The Bluebonnet is HUGE! If you are close and are available. Please support them. That is a MASSIVE competition, and I'm sure they could use volunteer help.
