AHA Rally Experiences

Thu Jun 24, 2010 7:01 am

I just read the Ft Collins Rally experiences a few folks posted, can anyone else who has attended a Rally share their experience. I offered, working the LHBS, to help Natty Greene's with theirs in August and would like to get perspective from some attendees in the BN Army.

Thanks,

Geist

I've been to 2 rallies...one at Smuttynose and the other at Allagash. Met Kathryn Porter at the Smuttynose rally. Pretty decent, but not a lot going on. We took a tour of the brewery, and tried some of their beers.

The Allagash rally was a little hazier. I spent the day in Portland, ME going from bar to brewery back to bar. Got on the wrong f'ing bus out to Allagash and had to walk 3 miles because I didn't have any change to get another bus. The Allagash guys were great, breaking out a lot of their barrel aged stuff, and some stuff that wasn't released yet. Plus I won a shirt!!

I'm a little envious of the Surly Rally where they gave out free wort...that was a nice touch I thought.

The Smuttynose rally had about 20-30 but Allagash was around 40.
