Beer in my CO2 tubing to my CO2 Regulator?

Sun May 16, 2010 9:13 am

I was force carbonating my beer by shakking the keg. Beer is now in the lines and if I pull on the pressure relief valve on the Regulator, foam comes out. So how big of a deal is this and how do I keep it from happening again?

I remove the gas from the keg and then shake. Then add the gas
connect back onto the keg and wait for it to fill. Then remove and shake again.
I takes longer but there is no chance of backwash.

You might want to clean and sanitise the gas linesjust in case.
There might be bugs that can live in that environment.
