Continuing on from this thread.
I woke up on Sat. morning ready to keg a beer and bottle another
one and discovered no Co2 in the tank.

I had been working on it on Friday so I must have stuffed
something up. The washer between the regulator and the
cylinder had been squashed and was no longer sealing.

What type of washer do I need? The gas shop I get the tank filled
gave me some washers that I tried last night and still have a leak.
He is too far away to go and get something else so I will be going to
the hardware shop.

I am new to this so any advise would be great.

Cheers

this is what i use on each of my co2 tanks.

http://www.midwestsupplies.com/co2-leak-stopper.html

but DON'T tighten it too much! only snug or it breaks! the nylon washers really only work the first time you crush it. most welding/gas houses give you a nylon when you fill/swap the tank. but if you get one of these brass ones, it will be leak free without having to kill the regulator coupler nut either. (brass on brass is self-sealing, but remember to take it off when you trade the tank in.)
