I have 4 bottles of this beer, 2 from the same batch as these sheets and two fresh ones. I will send one old and one new to the first two people (in the US) who PM me with shipping instructions if they agree to post their judging notes for this beer as a reply to this thread. I'd love to post the feedback!

Sounds like fun. Check your PMs

The telling sign here is the check mark in the Non-BJCP judge box! We know there is a shortage of judges (even JP is now a recognized BJCP judge), so take this score sheet with a grain of salt. It was a rookie judge and he tasted a contaminated beer and did not know what to write..that's ok. Chalk it up to a learning experience. You have one scoresheet from a natioanlly recognized judge and his scoresheet was fairly detailed and that is the one to concentrate on, not the rookie judge. One thing is certain, the bottle was contaminated, and you can't blame that on any judge. If anything, this emphasizes the importance of SANITATION! Just my view from the bubble...Keep brewing and keep entering your beers in competiton! Cheers!
Enjoy Great Beer!

When I got my scoresheets back, I was just happy that there were 3 judges at the table that scored mine. Although I did not advance, I did about average with what I thought was a good, but average beer. I can agree with the scores and comments. But I also got one bad apprentice judge. You have to contact the organizer on sheets like this, or the judge just keeps on doing it. I think some people get into judging just for the "Yeah, I'm a beer judge" ego stroke for themselves. Others do it because they love beer and homebrewing, and want to not only help others but have those others help them. If you don't want to be there, don't go. You are just wasting people's money. I judged at this competition so I know that the American Ale category was in the first portion of the judging starting at 9am, and from my cover sheet I was 5th in the flight out of 12. So I was the 5th beer this guy judged that day. There was no reason for my sheet to have a total of 35 words, some of which were not full words and three I couldn't even read. There is no way he was sick of tasting and writing by then.

If you want to see my sheets, I posted a write up on my blog about them and started with the bad one. Here is a link for those interested.

Of course as bad as mine was, and as disappointed as I was. Your sheet was downright insulting. I honestly can't believe that that sheet was from the NHC competition.

if anyone gets a score sheet from me please feel free to rip me a new one if I didnt score it appropriate. I try to score every beer as best as I can but sometimes I might slip up.

I don't think the point was to rip anyone for not scoring it appropriate. Personally I could care less about what the score is, as long as the person put forth an effort. Sure, I want my beer to score high and I would like to win, that is a big part of entering. But if it scores low, the judge owes it to the entrant to explain what they did not like so the person can see if they want to fix it or not. If you think there is DMS, or too little hop aroma, it's out of style, so be it. But say that. Then the person can taste their beer and maybe make changes to make the beer better. But writting "malty, citrus" for an aroma comment then knocking 5 points off and no stating what they didn't like about the beer is just poor judging. I always say, we have to remember that someone paid their hard earned money to have us judge their beer against others in the same category ($9 or $14 per beer for this comp in particular). If you don't want to put forth the effort to give the person honest and the best feedback you can, then why are you judging? For me, that is my gripe. Not whether or not the comments or number score was accuarate in my opinion.
However, sometimes you do get the person who gets pissed because you scored their best beer ever, a 23. But as long as you filled out the scoresheet properly as it should be. And you were honest, you did your job. People don't become jaded and stop entering competition from receiving good feedback. It's when they get too many very poorly written sheets they see entering as a waste of money. Or am I wrong?
