Abosolutely - here's the recipe for a 10gal batch...

OG 1.079
FG 1.008
ABV 9.3%
IBU 33

Mash 60 mins at 151 deg:
22 lbs belgian pils
2 lbs flaked wheat
.5 lbs aromatic malt

Added to kettle:
2 lbs blond candi sugar

Added at flameout:
2 lbs clear candi syrup - substitute cane/corn sugar

26 IBU noble hops @ 60 mins - I split 50/50 hallertau/styrian goldings, but shoot for 33 IBU overall
15g hallertau @ 30 mins
15g styrian goldings @ 30 mins
15g styrian goldings @ 15 mins
10g hallertau @ 15 mins
6g amarillo @ 15 mins (thanks Nate for the inspiration!)
7g hallertau @ 0 mins
7 g styrian goldings @ 0 mins

Whirlfloc and Servomyces at 10 mins

4L starter of WLP530 pitched at 64 deg allowed to raise to 69 deg. Use a blow off tube! This yeast is insane.

Ca: 56 Mg: 3 Na: 17 SO4: 67 Cl: 43 HCO3: 64 <-- approximate water profile

This makes something that approximates Westmalle Tripel - let me know if you have any questions...

Congratulations Arlyn! Just as Tasty mentioned, not surprised! Well deserved recognition for a fantastic brewer. I love that recipe. it has so many of the usual suspects.. Clear candi, 530, Pils... but some really cool creative twists: A touch of aromatic malt, a dash of Amarillo. I still have a 750ml bottle of your 2008 Tripel, kept it cold since you gave it to me. I wonder how similar the recipe was? I suspect you've dialed in quite a few things since then.

UBT - thanks for sharing the recipe!! That is a lot of hops compared to Jamil's BCS recipe. Looking forward to brewing something like that. Cheers!

Not to mention Arlyn had some stiff competition this year, so it is a bit to brag about - 636 entries from 191 entrants

The sweet thing is that the judges commented to me many times how overall the quality of the beers was up. There was some serious hair-splitting at the finals, so congrats to all that placed :jnj I noticed quite a few BN folk when the results were filed with MCAB - so thanks for playing!

And as a heads up- score sheets went out yesterday, so you should see those soon.

I placed first in cat 4, Dark Lager with my Munich Dunkel. It felt good to place in such a prestigious competition.
