Stitcher

so I got the tweets today from the BN about the new app for listening to the archives and I've downloaded it and just started playing the show that aired just this past sunday.

The audio is awesome but I'm wondering how useful this is going to be. I haven't had a smart phone for all that long, but I have the last 50 or so Sunday Sessions downloaded on to my iPod that I listen to every day on the train to and from work. Is there a way to find past Session/CYBI/Brew Strong and that other show episodes or does it just play the most recent episode?

Also, is there a way to listen to the live shows using this app? I've been searching for a while now for a way to just listen to the archives that stream through the site...which would also play the live shows when they air?

I'm going to take a stab on this one as far as the recent shows go and say that is mainly for exposure purposes. Having the BN available now on Stitcher means more people can access the show and learn from all of JP's BJCP wonderfulness (level of wonderfulness is still undetermined). It's similar to Beer Wars hitting Netflix. Does that help people who already own the DVD? No but it makes is so more people will casually stumble onto it. This makes it so more people can stumble onto the BN.

As far as the live show information, listening to this past week's show J mentioned a BN iPhone app for the users that have iPhones/iPod Touches. For other phones search the forums, I know I have seen several threads that talk about streaming onto an Android or Windows based phones at the very least.

From what I can tell it doesn't stream live thus it's just a podcast client. I have used Google Listen as my podcast client for a long time and think it works rather well. Stitcher seems neat but really doesn't offer anything more than Google Listen. As far a live streaming I use A Online Radio on my android phone and it works well, I was streaming the session the other night in the grocery store and pretty much thought I was king shit, I even sat down in the lawn chairs that were on display and kicked up my feet for a while.
