I've got my ingredients all weighed out and ready to brew this over the weekend. I've brewed a lot of beers with the 2row/carapils/c40/N.Brewer/cascade combination that Tasty uses in this and his amber. They always come out well. I can't wait.

I used this recipe as a guide for my own unique twist on a brown. I wanted to make a wheat beer so I used a chunk of wheat as the base and only wheat specialty malts...basically something like this.

50/50 2-row/wheat
replaced carapils with melanoidin
replaced crystal 40 with carawheat
replaced chocolate malt with chocolate wheat

the hops were subtler on mine as I wanted to learn about the wheat flavors. I only had about 35 IBUs but I did use a good amount of athanum late in the boil to get some hop character in there, Im kegging it up tonight.

I dryhopped my Janet's Brown (1.065) this morning. It will be better about Christmas but I'll be rocking it on Thanksgiving.

Well not millions but certainly hundreds. I probably get a dozen emails a month from those that have brewed the recipe. Many from outside the US. I couldn't imagine not sharing a recipe.
