Disposable O2 System

Is the filter necessary? If I'm pumping from the disposable tank, through a sanitized tube and difusion stone, how necessary is the filter?

I have never used a filter (hepa) with my oxygen setup. It is the same as yours and I have never had any infections caused by the oxygen setup. Just be sure to boil your stone 15-20 minutes pre and post oxygen injection to keep it sanitized and clean. In such a hyperoxic enviroment (inside the oxygen tank) no critters can survive!
