Yeah, you go run with this one...

To be fair, it will only kill 99.9999999% of the yeast.

The remaining yeast will be super yeast. This is how Chuck Norris was conceived.

Now, don't quote me on this, but if I recall the starsan show... something about the composition of the beer neutralizes the sanitizer, once its in contact? (the pH, or something of the like?) but no... residual foam won't damage/affect your yeast, as far as I can tell. Even Justins Starsan carpet porter fermented some.

Somebody who knows what's what should answer this... I use Ioda4

Probably would work fine in a VERY dilute solution. Charlie Talley has mentioned that once the pH was raised enough to make starsan ineffective - that it was a viable yeast nutrient. The problem is that it would take a lot of water (proportionally to properly mixed starsan solution) to raise the pH to the point that it wasn't killing the yeast.

Servomyces or some other yeast nutrient would be a better choice for this application.

And at that dilution (pH level), it wouldn't have any properties that would prevent other infections, so you don't really gain anything, other than wasting a small amount of Star San.

If I remember correctly it is the detergent in the Star San that can break down and become a nutrient for yeast. The phosphoric acid will be ineffective after the PH raises above 3.

As a side note I do know that phosphoric acid can be used in yeast washing.
