Sean Paxton Dinner and Movie Dinner - Portland Oregon

Tue Feb 23, 2010 9:44 pm

The wife and I finally got a chance to try Paxton's food at Dinner and a Movie at the portland Beer and Movie festival. Paxton nailed it, our favorites were the duck breast, the carbonated citrus herb salad and all of the desserts. I'm not sure if there is another post for the event in the forum but in case there isn't I wanted to give the BN props for introducing paxton to most of us and also give props to paxton for nailing the dinner.

There should be a rule in play regarding Pax:

if you're within a 100-150 miles of Paxton dinner, you're a dummy not to go.

I attended as well and that dinner was out of this world. Paxton is so creative and brings so much into each dish. What a treat to have him up here in Portland for an event.... Kudos to Sean, NB, and BeerNW.

I was there too and as expected, Sean nailed it again. The friend I brought who isn't really into beer that much (but that's starting to change) was really impressed at the food and how much a beer can add that extra dimension to the course.

I would have gone if it didn't fall on a week day night. Luckily, he'll be up here in May for the Seattle Beer Week. So I can't wait to check him out. If it wasn't for the BN, I would have never known about him.
