Took a sample of mine today when adding the dry hops. Tasting really good!

Anyone who received the kit, get the email from Jipper regarding entry details? My beer will be ready to send soon. I just finished listening to the podcast archive, with no new info.

Thanks BN Army!!

D'OH! Well I used a liquid yeast, which disqualifies me. Oh well.. Question, everything in the kit includes priming sugar, so are brewers not allowed to force carbonate? Food for thought.

Anyway, I entered Hop Grenade in a local competition, a filtered version with Wyeast 1056. Wish me luck!!

Enjoy the competition guys :)

I'm already bitch'n :)

I'm still submitting so I can get my "California everyone wins packet" and I deny that I used liquid yeast :asshat:

I had a nightmare brewing this kit (clogged plate chiller, ran out of oxygen and my fermentation chamber turned off during Sandy) so there is not chance that I would have won anyway, I just like to complain!

Well, I admit I used a liquid yeast, filtered, and forced carbonated. This constitutes the unfair advantage and is untrue to the letter and spirit of the kit as Tasty and JP alluded to. I refuse to use a bottling bucket. So, I'm not entering. Maybe for the next BN Comp they will allow more room to play. I am still happy I bought the kit and will still continue to support the BN when I can.

The denying part was a joke :)
