I have a few emails into JP but have not heard back. I am going to roll the dice and use liquid yeast. I've never used dry and feel that I can make the best beer with liquid yeast and a stater.

I used liquid since I didn't hear back. Running out of time had to brew :)

They'll change the rules anyway... if they said dry only, they'd end up being hard asses on the first few they try then accept liquid brewed ones in the end.

I agree, I don't think the comp was fully thought out before it was announced. It's all good the kit seems solid so it should be a nice beer.

I just received an email for JP stating that they are sticking to the ruling of NO LIQUID YEAST from the DuClaw show. So that is that.

Wow, looks like I wasted 65 bucks on a kit, but at least I'll enjoy drinking it. JP is an :asshat: for his indecisiveness.
