32nd Annual/21st Empire State Open Homebrew Competition
Entry Deadline: Sat. March 13, 2010 11 AM (Sat. Mar. 6 noon in Buff/Syr)
Judging Date: Sat. March 27, 2010 at Rohrbach’s, Buffalo Rd., Rochester
(with prejudging sessions March 21-26, locations TBA)
Entry Rules: Two bottles per entry (10-17 oz. glass bottles; capped, corked, or swing tops; no labels on bottles – please read our bottle rules!)
$6 per 2-bottle entry – check payable to UNYHA
Brewer to specify style and provide additional information, if required for style, using BJCP 2008 Guidelines (styles may be telescoped)
Go to www.unyha.com, print and fill out the entry form and bottle tags

Please note that the results WILL BE posted fairly quickly after the event. I will make sure of that.

Also, there are some kick ass prizes in this competition: Better bottles, Banjor burners, Northern Brewer/Midwest brewing/Sierra Nevada Brewing Co gift cards, Dark Candi syrup, various brewery clothing (like you already do not have enough!), more to come as well. The brewmaster's choice will be brewed at Rohrbach's Brewing Co in Rochester, NY. So, what do you have to lose?

Also, the points will be added towards the NYSHOTY for NY brewers.

I'm assuming the entry deadline of Mar. 6th is for drop-offs in Buffalo?

The drop off is in Buffalo on March 6th. They will be picking them up sometime Saturday probably around noon or right after the AWOG afternoon judging. If that is a problem, you could bring them to me at the AWOG results/awards dinner and I can take them back to Rochester and enter them with my beers.

Thanks for the offer. I just saw that Niagara Tradition is on the drop-off list, I guess that was more my question than when the deadline was. I'll drop them off up there sometime this week.

Right after the AWOG judging is done Friday Night. We'll be there sometime between 9 and 10 PM. Also, I'll have a scotty keg of the homebrewed version of the Robust Porter to try with Flying bisons version. Will be fun!

Nice job with this competition this year. How awesome is it to get an email from the comp coordinator letting you know that the results are up! And in less than 24 hrs. too!

Hey, congrats on the 2nd! Let's see how it does in NHC! That is where it really matters.
You can thank me for making sure the results were up in less than 24 hours! That was my goal to let the out of towners know what they did. Last years 5 days results post after the comp was not very respectable.
