Great Lakes Region First Round Delivery Co-op

Sun Jan 17, 2010 1:55 pm

Hey all. I work in Grand Rapids MI and I intend on entering the first round of the NHC. I do not enjoy sending my beers to competition for several reasons and I prefer to deliver them myself. Maybe we could work out a situation where this works our for both of us. Maybe we could get a handful of us together and I would deliver your entries for you. All I would ask is a small donation to help cover gas ($5?). It would be way cheaper and safer than shipping and it would take the edge off my bill for driving. Depending on how much participation we have, we would divide to total mileage and I would pull no profit for the shipment. What do you guys think?

I'm with you, Mills!
This sounds like a great plan. The biggest pain about entering any competition is shipping your beers. Hell...either of us could probably drive to Chicago for what it would cost to ship beers there.
Keep me posted. I imagine that a few CRHBC members would be interested.

Just a bump for this one. I plan on driving down entries late this month. If you are a Michigan brewer that would rather not ship your entries, let me know and maybe I can drive them down for you.
