The Saint Louis Brews are pleased to announce the 2010 Saint Louis Microfest Homebrew Competition. All entries from this competition benefit the Lift for Life Gym

This competition is an AHA/BJCP sanctioned event. Judging is scheduled for Saturday, April 24, 2010 and will be held in the Elliot Room at the Schlafly Taproom in Saint Louis, MO. Winners will be announced during the Saint Louis Microfest on Saturday, May 1, 2010.
Entries will be accepted beginning on March 1, 2010, and will be accepted until Friday, April 16, 2010. Only beer entries will be accepted (no meads or ciders). Entry fee is $7 per entry, and 2 bottles per entry are needed. Please enter using the appropriate BJCP category http://www.bjcp.org/stylecenter.html. The BJCP categories will be grouped into the five overall categories by the organizers (Light Lager, Dark Lager, Light Ale, Dark Ale, and Microfest Summer Brew).
1st Place in each category wins a $25 Cash Prize. A prize will also be awarded to the top ranked beginner (less than two years brewing).
The Best of Show winner will receive a Stainless Steel Conical Fermenter (aka the Brewhemoth) from The Respiratory Group. The conical is made of 304 stainless steel, stands 50 inches tall, 16 inches in diameter. Full to the airlock hole holds 22 gallons. It has a half inch pour valve and a 1.5 inch dump valve. The upper access hole is 4 inches in diameter. Can be bought direct from the factory for $389.99.
Things to note this year:
-An online registration system is being used. The direct link to the registration site is http://stlbrews.homebrewcomp.com. PLEASE utilize this system. The paper entry forms will still be accepted this year, but their use is strongly discouraged. Judges and stewards should also register using the online system.
-The Best of Show winner will receive a STAINLESS STEEL CONICAL FERMENTER!
