Coniston Bluebird Bitter

Sun Jun 26, 2005 1:48 pm

16.9 fl oz brown squat shaped bottle. Cryptic date of L-165-03 on back label. Poured out a golden yellow / copper color, with a fast fading, thin white head. It didn't even have the courtesy to leave a lacing, either. Rude bastard. Oh well. It smelled mostly of malts, and Challenger hops. They are earthy, spicy, and somewhat tangy in both flavors, and aromas. Thin mouthfeel, leaves you wanting something more. Bitter finish as it's swallowed. Doesn't linger long on the tongue, however. A decent bitter overall.
