I bought a 4-pack of this about a year ago and decided it was too bourbon/oak forward after 2 bottles. I used the third in a tasty marinade and the fourth has been sitting in my cellar until today. While listening to the Sly Fox Session and all their talk about bocks, I decided to crack open this brew. DAMN! This is one tasty beer a year later. The bourbon and oak have softened and the Bret character has rounded out. There's a nice maltiness to balance the sour bret and it's just round and smooth and full of AWESOME! Wish I had more now.

I don't usually care for New Glarus beers as their house yeast has a character that I simply can't stand, but I have recently come to admire thier sour offerings.

Nice! I just found two bottles I put down in my cellar a year ago when I reorganized it a few nights ago...I was wondering how they aged.
