Magic Hat #9

This beer is certainly different than anything I've ever had before. It's something I would drink mostly in the warm weather/ summer time as it is very crisp and refreshing. This may be due to the fruity nip that you get from this beer. It seems to be a hint of apricot and/or grapefruit, leaning more towards the first one.

Has anyone tried this? It's an interesting beer, and it's a beer with a flavor that you are bound to remember.

Yeah! I dig it... I used to get it all the time when I lived back East. Definitely apricot. I just checked their website to jog my memory of my other two favorites from them. I was shocked to find out that they are discontinued!!!

Apparently their "Blind Faith" (a nice, rich IPA), and their "Heart of Darkness" (Oatmeal Stout) - went the way of the dodo... That SUCKS! I liked those two much more that #9. If I lived back East, I would write them and see if you can get them to bring them back - even as seasonals...

I'll see what I can do... don't let me forget. Perhaps I can ship you some if you're that interested.

Isn't Blind Faith a gospel band that Eric Clapton was in for a short period of time?

Gospel band??? No, no, my friend. The very first "super band" comprised of ex-members from Cream and Traffic - consisting of E.C., Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker, and Rick Grech... They only made one album - but what an album it is !!!
