Avery Ten

22 oz. brown bomber bottle, with a fancy label. Poured out a clear copper color, with not much head to speak of. Left a slight ring of foam around the rim of the glass, and that's about it. Aromas of caramel malts, sweetened ice tea, some slight hops present in the aroma also. Tastes sweet, it hides the alcohol very well. But, be forewarned, it does sneak up on you. Very warming and filling as it goes down. A huge maltiness to the taste, along with a big blast of hops at the end. Tastes very similar to their Hog Heaven Barleywine. Well balanced, it does need to age awhile to be a truly great beer in my book. Good thing I bought 2 today when I finally found it. Great stuff, this Avery beer.
