Need Recipe for Wheat Beer

Sat Nov 05, 2005 10:45 am

I haven't done a wheat beer yet. Looking for a good recipe. The plan is to do a 10gal batch and split it. Leave one half alone and add 5lbs blackberrys to the other.

So give me some ideas and yeast suggestions :P

Thanks

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

Warning: If you have never done a wheat be mindful of Boil overs and Krausen (SP?) from hell that loves to attack air locks  .

Just get the cheap frozen ones. The syrup and such is better for flavor anyways. Either that, or call local produce wholesalers and ask if they have any old produce laying around. Usually they will just give it to you or at the least give it to you cheap as hell. And generally for this sort of thing, you want fruit that is a lil over-ripe anyway.
