Janet's Brown (wheat question)

Finally got to brewing Janet's Brown Ale (thanks Tasty!) this past weekend. The LHBS asked if I wanted white or red wheat. I chose red, not really knowing what the difference really was. I see that most people use white wheat for this recipe. Any thoughts on the differences and whether they will be noticeable in my attempt?

It is a variety thing and nothing more both will produce the same results.

Isn't red wheat a winter wheat and a bit harder? Protein content may be different as well, but for your purpose as Henning said, no worries! Enjoy that Tasty Brown!
