Looking for help on a Smoked Red Ale recipe.
Anyone got one?

I'd go a little higher (33% or even more). The Weyermann's Rauchmalt is fantastic but very mellow. I've had 100% rauchmalt beers that were tasty as hell and not over the top.

The Briess cherrywood smoked malt is more than twice as powerful. Be light handed if you choose that stuff. It is good but MUCH more intense than the Weyermann's.

30% sounds good. Was thinking of Amarillo hops in the whirlpool, to make it more American, but that may clash! Maybe EKG would be better?
