what to brew when I get home

Thu Mar 20, 2008 10:55 am

So im scheduled to come home from Nashville this saturday and I have the bad itch to brew. I'll be tranferring my 10 gal o amber into kegs so i'll be free to brew up a 10 gal batch. The question is what to brew. I was thinking either a pale or a honey pale as I have 75 lbs of honey in buckets at home. I need something easy drinking that I can have several pints of.
maybe possibly the rye cream ale that Bugeater gave me.
I need persuasion. Or I could do a couple five gal batches and do two seperate brews.

Thanks y'all-Crut

Crut, Boogeater's Rye Cream Ale sounds very interesting. I haven't had good experiences with many Cream Ales that have tasted in the past - but this is one that I think I would like to try. I did rye beers. This could be the magic ingredient that bridges the gap for me.

Maybe I can arrange a swap with you guys - next time you brew it.

Go with the Boog. I like Boog, and the beer definitely sounds interesting.

I may be prejudiced, but I would go with the rye cream. 8)

Actually it's about time I brewed it again myself.

It's easier for me to post it again than search for it.

I have made this with a bunch of different yeasts and have had it come out great. 1007 is really good but takes forever to clear. Pacman is great if you can get some. I've also done it with Wyeast 1272 and 2565.
