My Second Attempt at brewing... GREAT SUCCESS

Wed Dec 05, 2007 7:47 pm

I bottled the Bells Two Hearted clone last Tuesday. Yesterday I put two bottles in the fridge... just drank one. AWESOME!! So much better than my first batch.

I opened the bottle and saw the co2 rise off the beer. Smelled it and it was hoppy as hell, just as I wanted. Taste is also great. Not too carbonated... will probably be better in a week, but great right now. Infact, if it tastes even better I will be impressed. I am really excited after my first attempt tasted like my ass.

If anyone is game, try this recipe available through Northern Brewer. Its available in all grain and partial.

Now time to drink my own beer!

Congrats man, nothing beats a good brew, especially when you can take pride in knowing you did it all yourself.

Do yourself a favor and put some bottles of that down in the fridge crisper drawer or whatever. Sample one a week or so so you can see how it ages and how the flavors mellow out a bit.

It is good data to learn by and if you don't put it back it'll all be gone before you know it.
