another foam question

I am new to kegging. I kegged my first two beers about a month ago; a corn lager and a pale ale. I used 5' tubing to dispense the beer and had the co2 at 12 psi-ish and everything was great. When I poured the beer, I got a good 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch of foam but I wanted a little more carbonation. I turned up the co2 to about 15 to 16 psi-ish. It's been about two weeks since the change and now I'm getting about 1/2 a glass of beer and 1/2 foam. The only other changes I can think of is that 1) I'm about half way through the kegs (I'm guessin) and 2) its much warmer and more humid in the house.
Anybody have a guess on what the cause of the increased foam is? Thanks in advance!
