Storing Kegs Outdoors in a Chest Freezer, Perhaps

Greeting brewers -

Thanks to a girlfriend who's very encouraging of my brewing habit, I'm hunting for ways to expand my brewing capacity. While I have an existing dorm fridge with a two tap draft tower mounted on it, this serves double duty as my fermentation fridge/serving device. Now I'm thinking it'll mainly be used as a fermentation chamber and I'll store my kegs somewhere else, perhaps in a chest freezer.

Space being a premium where I live (and the girlfriend trying to limit my homebrew sprawl), we're trying to think up ways to store my finished homebrew outdoors. Any of you brewers doing this? If so, what do you use?

I am thinking a chest freezer ought to do the trick and am wondering about the dangers of setting one of these outside. Our patio is mostly uncovered and exposed to weather and I'm not sure what impact this could have.

Thanks for your help and suggestions!
Brian

Probably not a good idea. I had a freezer out doors in a covered carport and it got fairly rusty after just a few years. I would think if your freezer was getting rained on the skin would not like it much and I worry about the electrical compressor as well. If you built a suitable weather resistant shell around the freezer or even a garden shed you will be okay for several years.
