i put 1/2 gallon of wort from my latest hefe batch in a sanitized growler to use as speise/priming...this beer is for competition and i am wondering should i just use corn sugar so i can nail the carbonation level or is it worth it to use the wort? after reading the Warner book i am still unsure if i should add 4 1/2 gals of finished beer to the reserved wort to make 5 gallons or to add 5 gallons of wort and end up with 5 1/2 gallons total....
