time to force carbonate a one gallon batch of beer?

Sat Dec 04, 2010 6:31 pm

Hi all,

I recently made a 1 gallon batch of ale and it's now sitting in a 3 gallon corny keg. I've had CO2 set at abt 15psi for nearly 24 hours at 34F. (hoping to get 2.8-3 vol.)

Will it still take 3 days to fully carbonate, or is it going to carbonate faster since its such a small batch? This is my first experience at kegging and wondered about time vs. batch/keg size.

Thanks!

Robert

If you lay it on it's side it will carb faster
