Does Gelatin also drop out hops?

I used Gelaton for the very first time since I ran out of Whirlfloc of a recent Pale Ale I brewed.
The hop schedule for 5 gallons as follows:
60 min. .5 oz Mgnum
10 min 1 oz Citra
5 min. 1 oz Columbus
1 min. 1 oz Columbus
primary dry hop 1 oz Centenial
secondary dry hop .5 oz Simcoe + .5 oz Amarillo
After one week in the secondary with dry hops, I chilled the carboy in the kegerator for 2 days, added the galatin mixture which was 1 tsp galatin + 1 cup water that sat for 20 minutes and then raised to 170% to kill the germs.
I waited 2 days and kegged.
Low and behold, 1 week later after set and forget carbing I poured the clearest I pint I had ever seen. You cold read a news paper through the pint glass.
There was some mild hop bitterness, but no where near any flavor or aroma.
Any suggestions or is Galtin best suited for non hoppy beers?
Cheers.
