Counterpressure Filling Belgian Bottles?

I am wondering if there are 12oz Belgian beer bottles out there that I can purchase? I only see 22oz and that size is too large for my filler. I want to counterpressure fill my Belgian PA, and know that 3.5vol is gonna break normal bottles.

Also, does anyone know where I can purchase a Ferrari corker (counter model)? Thanks!

You can add a bit of tubing to the end of your CPF to fill 750ml bottles.

Here's a link for Belgian bottles (from a Belgian home brew store). I'd be interested to see what the shipping would cost. You can even buy Duvel style bottles.

I'm not sure that 3.5 volumes is too much for a regular bottle.

I bought some badly gushing bottles of domestic beer that were way more carbonated than, say, Orval. I have never heard of bottles exploding on the shelves of a liquor store.

I here that standard bottles have some limit of c02 in terms of volumes, but that makes little sense as the bottle doesn't care what mass of c02 is in it, the bottle cares about pressure. So If they are limited at 3 volumes it is 3 volumes at some temperature and the limit would be higher in terms of volumes at a lower temperature.

I wouldn't put any more than 3 volumes in a conventional 12oz brown bottle.

I have (repeatedly) filled 12oz normal brown bottles with 3.5-3.7 volumes and NEVER have had any problems, or notes of gushing/breakage in comps. I would not store the bottles warm (above 65 degrees) for an extended period of time though. When you are bottling look for the bottles to use (out of the ones you have) that appear to have a more hidden seam running up the side. Maybe I am wishful thinking, but these make me feel better when I use them. :unicornrainbow:

BE A MAUN! JUST WEAR YOUR SAFETY GOGGLES...
I think you will be fine really, and another thing to consider is your fill tube does not have to reach the bottom of a bottle to fill properly. I have been filling 22's with a short tube and it has been working fine with hardly any foam.
