Where can I get the CO2 splitter needed for the beer gun? I have the beer gun and the accessory pack, and this will be the last step.......

what is the role of the regulator inlet nuts that came with the accessory pack? could these take the role of the y adapter if not are there any hardware stores that may sell the y adapter or must I resort to the internet?

If you're talking about the brass flare adapter, I believe you need a wye adapter on your regulator to use that.

I've never really understood the accessory kit. It seems like a few random things thrown together.

There is an Accessory Kit "1" and "2".

Beer Gun Accessory Kit #1
This accessory kit provides almost everything needed to get your BeerGun up and running: a liquid ball-lock disconnect, a 5' length of hose for your CO2 line with 1/4" stainless flare connectors on each end, one stainless 1/4" disconnect (for the 10' beer hose that comes with the BeerGun), and a brass 1/4" NPT X 1/4" flare adapter for connecting to the CO2 valve on the BeerGun. Read below for information about Beer Gun Accessory Kit #2.

Beer Gun Accessory Kit #2
Because most people do not have regulators with dual MFL outlets as shown in the instructions for the BeerGun provided by Blichmann Engineering, a second group of hardware items are necessary to make the BeerGun operational. This second group of items includes an MFL gas disconnect, an MFL tee, and three FFL-to-hose-barb swivel nuts. It is assembled with clamps.

I got kit 1 and did not find it real useful. Should have got kit 2.

The MFL tee is generic and not needed if you put a T and a 1/4" ball valve and hose barb on your regulator gas out.

I have a tee after my c02 regulator. One end goes to a ball lock disconnect (I have a tank I use just for transfers and other stuff, if I had a single tank this would go to a manifold or secondary regulators or whatever), the other end goes to a female plastic gas line disconnect (B3 sells these, I think NB does too). Then I have a few of the plastic male disconnects so I can easily swap things in and out. So far I have a counter pressure filler, a line to pressurize a better bottle for transfer and a Tasty style device for co2 purging bottles set up with a male. Takes 1 second to hook any of these up.
