Labeling your bottles

+1 to Bug. Depends what plastic the vials are made of, and what solvents are in Goof Off. My guess is that the vials are PET, which is definitely vulnerable to acetone.

Those vials are PET. Actually these are the blanks that 2 liter soda bottles are made from.

The Goof Off Heavy Duty, which is more readily available for home use, doesn't contain acetone. The professional formulation does. I wasn't aware that they were soda bottle blanks!

Paint thinner or mineral spirits will dissolve most adhesives which are not water soluble. I've used it to remove labels from kegs, bottles and white labs yeast vials. A little detergent and water scrubbing afterward will clean-up the solvent odor.
