There are probably almost as many reading this and silently thinking "I didn't know those came apart like that! Glad that guy asked so I didn't have to!"

I am a newb to kegging and knew this. I am not afraid to pull everything
apart and try and put it back together.

But I agree with Danny. How many are saying WOW, I didn't know that.

I am lazy, I run PBW solution through mine as I clean a keg, let the PBW sit for 30 min or so, dispense more. Then rinse and repeat with StarSan; cleans my beer tube in the kegs at the same time. If I don't have a picnic tap to clean I clean a beer line or two.

So I'm guessing the gas side can be taken apart and cleaned the same way? Just let it drain more fully before hitting it with the CO2?

One word of caution when taking these apart. The parts are small and easy to lose. Particularly the small flat rubber gasket!! Once apart those gaskets almost fall off. They are not on tight like post o-rings. Be careful. If you do lose one the B3 sells replacements but I have had good luck (knock on wood) using a 3/8" ID x 1/16" thick o-ring you can get at Lowes for much cheaper, on the liquid side. Have not had to try this on the gas side where the flat gasket might be more critical to a good gas seal.
