No such thing as a stupid question, This is my first brewing system, the reason the burners are low is because of the heat being put out of them, the BK is 160,000 Btu output, and the MT and HLT is 100,000 Btu, I fired them up last week and found a crack in my BK burner, so replacing it with the same one, but they run hot, really hot. I am running a test on it next week with PBW solution, I really don't want the MT and the HLT burners too hot, for I am only using them to achieve my Sparging temp, and I would like to control the heat to the MT without over doing it "saving gas". The BK burner I might have to move up maybe 1 inch, but I will know my boiling speed next week. After achieving the "blue flame" height was added 2 1/2 - 3 inches. But I will let you know on Tuesday.
