Electrical Disconnect?

Since I had a little more time to design the circuitry of my control panel - I figured I would build in a few more safety features. Since I am building a gas system with a timer, I want to be able to trigger the hood to come on when the system comes on. The internal design for the trigger done - but I need some sort of electrical disconnect.

Is anybody aware of a plug and outlet combination that will work as following - I need to break both the hot and the neutral poles when the plug is inserted - and I would like them to automatically reconnect when the plug is removed. Obviously the wire back to the panel will have 4 conductors.

That way, the hood will work normally when the control panel is not pluged in, but I will have local control on the panel when it is.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Mylo,

Can you accomplish this with a single pole switch, and an additional SSR?

I think this will work if I am understanding what you are looking for. :?

Yeah, thank's Hammer. I think that will work too. I was just trying to avoid modifying the internals of the hood. But it seems simple enough. I actually don't even need a SSR. I just need to short the hood switch from my panel (and I will still be able to control it locally from the hood). So, I would still like to find a disconnect - but that can be as simple as a regular plug and outlet. However, if I want an indicator light in parallel - I will need four conductors. But that is probably easier to find then what I was originally trying to find (which apparently doesn't exist commercially). Probably something along the lines of the disconnect used on CB radios for the handset.l

Thanks for getting my wheels turning again.
