NEVA PARKER (WHITE LABS) AT NORTHERN BREWER MINNEAPOLIS

Mon Jul 02, 2012 9:38 pm

If you missed out on Neva Parker's yeast lecture at NHC (the lecture Doc was raving about on the Sunday Session), here is a similar lecture she gave at Northern Brewer Minneapolis last month. For the slackers out there who have yet to pick up Jamil and Whitey's Yeast book, a lot of valuable info found in the book is mentioned in this lecture in a very easy to understand manner.

You guys can thank Chip Walton at BTV for posting this. Cheers :unicornrainbow:

Thanks for the link. I was shocked to hear on the Session ( missed the lecture with Neva at NHC ) that a 1 liter starter after 24 hours only produces 1.2x the yeast. I'm really looking forward to the presentations when they are posted on the AHA site.

Great ones at NHC I did go to:

Brad Smith - BIAB ( trying it this weekend )
Gordon Strong - Brewing Better Beer ( have the book but haven't read through it yet )
Mitch Steele - History of IPA
Water, Troubleshooting, & Club Panels - Only wish there was more time...1 hour just didn't cover it.

Fermenter: Mayotoberfest
Kegged: Common, Cherry, & Apple Pie Ciders, Falconer Pale Ale, Strawberry Blonde
On Deck: German Pilsner, Chinookee Wookiee
